Setting the Vibe: From Dinner to Dance Floor
We kicked off the evening during dinner with a selection of quiet, soulful music to complement the ambient river views and let guests enjoy their meals. But once the special dances were wrapped up? We turned the volume up. Best Wedding Band in Texas, Gunpowder Soup, always plays Classic & Modern Country, Top 40 Pop Hits, High-Octane 80s Favorites. Never a dull moment.
The gorgeous dance floor didn’t stay empty for a single second. Guests grabbed our signature Gunpowder Soup tambourines and joined the party, dancing and singing along with us for a continuous, three-hour high-energy set.
A House Divided
One of the absolute highlights of the night was a little friendly Texas football rivalry. We proudly played the UT Fight Song, but the groom wasn’t about to let the Longhorns have the last word—he requested his anthem, The Aggie War Hymn. The energy in the tent was electric as both sides sang their hearts out under the lights!
Gunpowder Soup provided the after-party music
When the live band set came to an end, the party was still far from over. Gunpowder Soup was also hired to handle the after-party entertainment. Our DJ took over the booth and kept the clear tent rocking, the drinks flowing, and the guests dancing all the way until 2:00 AM.
